We have a unique difference to many speech pathology businesses in Newcastle, due to our business founder and Clinical Director, Christine Harrison, living with a child who has Autism, an intellectual disability and sensory integration dysfunction. We know first-hand the daily challenges faced when living with a child with a disability, having personal, daily experience of a Mother supporting and maximising the communication skills of a child with ASD and a severe intellectual disability.
Together with established research and clinical practices, our intervention actively incorporates the use of technology and devices ( as appropriate) which play a significant role in enhancing the communication development and skills of individuals with a disability.

At Harrison Speech Pathology, we’re committed to keeping our clients safe – so we’ve implemented a COVID-19 Safety Plan to stop the spread of the virus. As part of our COVID Safety Plan, we are social distancing (1.5 metres apart) and encourage our clients and parents to sanitise when entering and exiting the practice. We clean clinic rooms before and after all appointments, wiping over desk tabletops, door and cupboard handles and light switches. In addition to increased regular clinic cleaning, we are also limiting the number of clients inside the building. Stopping the spread of COVID-19 is a team effort. Together, we can keep our community safe. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We also offer Telehealth appointments, if required.
